“God is Spirit” -Summary

  “God is Spirit”

In “God is Spirit” by R.C Sproul, he says, that when we say God is a spirit we mean:

  • He is not physical or material.

Our Spirit:

Two questions you ask someone when you first met them is:

What is your name? and Where do you live?

  • We live where ever we are because WE are physical creatures.

Human beings are always beings that are somewhere.  Our existence is alwasy defined by our Locality

God’s Spirit:

  • He is a spirit, but in a different way.
  • God cannot be localized.
  •  Everything that is physical has extension, but everything not physical has extenstion.

God is a spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

This means God’s presence can never be restricted to one place because of his spirit.

God has a spirit and so do we.

He is infinite and we are finite.
